A Victorious Weekend – Women’s/Men’s Days

It has been nothing but a victorious weekend in Sydney as we welcomed Carlos and Lucy from Mexico City to speak at our Women’s and Men’s day.

This is the third year that we hosted Women’s Day. The momentum and hard work has really paid off as 27 sisters had 80 women in attendance including mothers and best friends. Also as the sisters mature and grow, their ever-growing effectiveness in making disciples is increasingly evident.

There were three moving testimonies and one of our youngest disciples shared openly about her life. She apologised to her mom who had flown in all the way from Chicago, for all she put her through. There was a video and special performance before Lucy preached a powerful message on “Endless Possibilities” God has for our lives when we are disciples. The fellowship was so electric and long afterwards with the incredible food provided by all the sisters, that we literally had to ask the crowd to disperse at the end.

This great victory was followed up by our annual Men’s day, combined with our chili cook off. With 114 in attendance for the 56 Christians, Lucy was able to vulnerably share for communion. Then we were entertained and convicted by Carlos’ sermon about “The Four Crack Pots” and how God loves to use imperfect people.
