Jessi
Earlier this year, India’s great friend from the University of Iowa was blown by God to Sydney to start working as an au-pair. Originally from outside of Chicago, Jessi had spent the past year traveling the world as a missionary to 14 different countries. As she began studying the bible, the scriptures moved powerfully in her heart. Her deep love for God and belief in the scriptures gave her the courage to answer the call of God and become a true disciple of Christ. Jessi is a woman of great faith and a gentle, kind spirit; we cannot wait to see God use her powerfully in His Kingdom! Welcome to the family!!!
Hannah
At the start of the year Melanie applied for a job closer to campus and little did she know that putting she was a Christian on her resume would lead her and her co-workers to talk about God. One of those co-workers was Hannah! Hannah has been searching for God her whole life and her story and heart to be close to God touched the lives of Merari and Mel who studied the bible with her. She quickly became a part of the family, her serving heart winning the whole North Region over and her joy touching the lives of many. Now right with God and baptised in the North Region pool on a Wednesday night, Hannah is looking forward to her new life as a Christian working for for Lord! Welcome to the Kingdom Hannah!
Hiroshi
Hiroshi, a fluent Japanese, Mandarin and English speaker has blessed the kingdom with his arrival in Sydney. He was first met by our brother Rico in the Hawaiian church and was challenged to move to a city where the SoldOut Movement was present since his visa was ending. He gave up everything, moved in with the brothers and became a Christian within 4 days! God sure does answer prayers!
Patrick
All good things come to those who wait, Patrick Chan included. This Political Science student from Mainland China was met on University of Sydney in August of 2017. After battling the doubts of atheism, persecution from his family, and multiple tests from God, on March 18th of 2018 we celebrate his baptism and salvation.
Bruce
Bruce grew up as a Buddhist in Indonesia; however, after moving to Australia to pursue his degree at UNSW he ad an interest in knowing who God is and what the Bible is all about. He began studying the Bible, immediately applying it to his life, saw his need to be in a true relationship with God, and was baptised on March 25, 2018!
