Sybil is studying to get her masters in media at USyd, and was invited to a Friday night bible talk in February. She connected with the girls at bible talk, and spoke openly about her life and what lead her to believing in God. She said that many Christian groups had invited her to their events, but none of them felt right. For some reason, she decided to come to ours, and she felt like it was God. She agreed to study the Bible, and quickly built deep friendships with the girls, coming over to the house often, and educating the American’s on quality Chinese food. The deeper she got in studying the Bible, the more she opened up and started to change. Although the ways she was changing were unfamiliar, she saw how much God was calling her outside of her comfort zone. She described it as God filling a hole in her heart that she never thought could truly be filled. After counting the cost Thursday night, she made the decision to not wait any longer but get baptized that night! It was an amazing and unforgettable night to see Sybil become a part of God’s family!
