Obaid Gill is an incredible man with a huge heart to care for people. Originally from Pakistan, Obaid has lived in the UK, and then moved to Sydney, where he currently attends the University of New South Wales for his PhD. It was there on campus that he was reached out to by our sister Charlotte. Even though Obaid grew up believing in God, he wrestled with many scriptures that challenged his view of Christianity and following Christ. Obaid began attending church and studied the bible with the disciples on and off for about a year. After much prayer and fasting from the disciples, we watched as God softened Obaid’s heart towards the scriptures. He deeply saw his need to be right with God, and he finally made the decision to be baptised! Obaid has already become such a dear friend, and now brother, to the entire church. All the disciples in Sydney are so fired up to finally have him as part of the family! Welcome, Obaid!
